Utrecht Centraal Station

At Utrecht Central Station — the busiest transport hub in the Netherlands — HMSHost, in collaboration with NS Stations, aimed to redefine how travellers, commuters and locals experience hospitality in transit. The goal was to create welcoming spaces that cater to multiple needs: eating, meeting, working and relaxing.

Conceptional developed the concept plan and layout for three distinct yet complementary venues: Het Koffiehuis, a cosy café for everyday moments; Bistro Utrecht Centraal, offering comforting all-day dining; and Bar Centraal, a lively meeting spot for drinks and connection.

Each space was supported by tailored kitchen designs and operational layouts to ensure smooth execution and guest flow in a high-traffic environment.
