F&B Sustainability Covenant

Schiphol Airport, one of Europe’s leading airports with over 61 million passengers in 2022, is taking ambitious steps to make its Food & Beverage operations more sustainable. Together with its business partners, Schiphol joined the Sustainable Food Route in August 2023 to define a clear ambition, strategy, and roadmap for change.

Conceptional guided the process — from shaping the overall sustainability strategy to facilitating working groups with Schiphol and its F&B partners. To translate this ambition into tangible actions, Conceptional developed a set of focused guideline documents covering areas such as sustainable procurement, design, reporting, and communication.

In July 2024, Schiphol Airport and its F&B business partners officially signed a covenant, marking their shared commitment to a more sustainable future in airport hospitality.
