Efteling - In den Swarte Kat Restaurant

Efteling is one of Europe’s most iconic theme parks and among the oldest in the world, renowned for its immersive storytelling and fairytale-inspired attractions. In 2024, the park expanded its universe with a new themed area: Huyverwoud, home to the Danse Macabre attraction.

In den Swarte Kat serves as the central hub connecting different areas and guest needs, while Koetshuys, located at the exit of Danse Macabre, fulfils the “exit food” moment with themed snacks. Conceptional collaborated closely with Efteling’s team to design and develop these immersive F&B outlets, from concept strategy to menu design — including themed popcorn and cotton candy in Koetshuys, and Efteling’s first-ever self-service food concept at In den Swarte Kat.

Both concepts are fully integrated into the Huyverwoud environment, enhancing the storytelling and creating a seamless, atmospheric experience that deepens guest immersion within Efteling’s magical world.
