City of Amsterdam – Café Oostoever

In Amsterdam’s Nieuw-West district, the City of Amsterdam aimed to transform an existing building along the Sloterplas lake into a new restaurant destination. The goal was to create a lively, accessible hospitality venue that would serve as a meeting place for locals and visitors alike, while activating the waterfront area.

Conceptional was commissioned to conduct a feasibility study and develop a functional design for the future Café Oostoever. The study assessed the spatial possibilities, operational flow, and potential of the site to accommodate a successful hospitality concept that blends naturally with its scenic surroundings.
