IKEA – The Netherlands
Ikea is the worlds most famous furniture- and interiors store. While its restaurants have always been an important asset of the brand, with its famous Swedish meatballs, Ikea wanted its restaurant concept to be more in line with its leading vision. This vision, A Better Everyday Life, has been translated into a new restaurant and coffee bar concept for Ikea Amsterdam. The main purpose was to inspire and stimulate guests to eat in a more healthy and sustainable way. Conceptional has converted the menu to an operational (kitchen planning) plan, this leads the way to a new era of kitchen set-up, new (vegan) dishes and product presentation. Additionally, we introduced a stand-alone coffee bar inside the seating area of the restaurant with barista coffee quality, sweets and fresh juices to fulfil the needs of the guests. Conceptional supported in the translation of this ambitious project to concept realisation for the restaurant and coffee bar as team member of design and construction towards opening.
