Autogrill – Belgium

Brussels Airport is Belgium’s leading airport in the centre of Europe and with a vision to be the best airport in Europe by 2040. A fully connected economic centre. Autogrill is the main provider of Food & Beverage at the airport. On land and airside, they accommodate many national, local and international F&B brands and concepts to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s passengers.

The main objective of the project was to present a Food & Beverage Masterplan and space planning. The first focus was to map the current situation, the needs of passengers and trends & developments. Followed by the translation of the ambition & values of Brussels Airport into a Food & Beverage concept strategy. With the focus on a holistic 3-step approach of positioning, quality and commercial value to build a future proof plan. It is all about the right offer at the right time for the right audience. In this case, time and convenience are the main drivers for future developments and activities, as passengers are in a closed environment. The behaviour of passengers is completely different when travelling and therefore, the Food & Beverage offer is tailored to the terminal and location-specific.

This was translated into a Food & Beverage concept strategy and master plan. Followed by a space planning for further concept and brand development.
